ABOUT ALEX WOOD PIANO SERVICES
BA (Hons) Musical Instrument Craft
Born in Northampton, I come from a musical family. I learnt to play the piano from a very young age and still utilises my playing skills professionally today.
This lifelong love of music led me to train at the renowned course in piano tuning & repair at Newark College, where I graduated with First Class Honours. During my time at college, I also won The Fletcher & Newman Prize for outstanding achievement in piano tuning and repair.

From September 2023, I will be responsible for the pianos at Snape Maltings Concert Hall in Suffolk. In addition to this, I operate my private practice in East Anglia, Essex and Northamptonshire.
Mr Warcaba-Wood has tuned my piano at home on a number of occasions now. He is always totally reliable – trustworthy, punctual, friendly and well-mannered.
His work is meticulous and he always leaves the instrument in pristine condition.
As well as tuning my piano, Alex has performed repair work and has always worked to a supremely high standard.
I will continue to ask Alex to tune my piano in the future and have no reservations in heartily recommending him to friends and colleagues.
